Speaking at SMX West: Bringing SEO In House – 10am on Day Three

If you’re making it out to SMX West in March stop me in the hallway for a chat. I’m always eager to meet new people in the SEO industry.

I will be speaking on the In House & Specialty SEM Track on day three of the conference. The session is Bringing SEO In House: How To Be Successful! and is moderated by Jessica Bowman, Founder, SEOinhouse.com. I will also be joining fellow speakers Laura Lippay, Director of Technical Marketing at Yahoo!; and Michael Martin, SEO Director at Resource Nation.

My presentation is going to deal mostly with how an in-house SEO can add value by using his/her related skills (analytics, keyword research, competitive analysis, link building, social media…) to help other business teams in his/her organization. I will also touch on some of the mistakes business owners make when hiring their first in-house SEO, or when moving someone over from a different position within the company.
